Project Description
1st day:
Arrival in Thessaloniki. Transport to the hotel.
2nd day:
Excursion to Philippi and to Adriani next to Drama to visit the cellar of “LAZARIDIS” company for wine-tasting. Back to the hotel, overnight.
3rd day:
Cruise to Agion Oros to the monasteries of Mount Athos. It is not allowed to enter the monasteries but you can admire them and take photos from the ship. Back to the hotel to in the afternoon, overnight.
4th day:
Trip to Petralona, to the cave with stalactites (limestone cave), then to Agios Pavlos to the cellar of the company “TSANTALI” for tasting. Overnight.
5th day:
Sightseeing tour in Thessaloniki – churches and other historical monuments: Byzantine walls, Galerius’ triumphal arch, Roman Agora, St. Dimitrios church, St. Sofia Church. In the afternoon visit the Archaeological Museum. Hotel in Olympus Riviera.
6th day:
One-day trip to Meteora to visit the monasteries. You travel through Tempi-valley, Larissa and Trikala. Arrival back at the hotel in Olympus Riviera in the afternoon. Overnight.
7th day:
Excursion to Pella, to the birth place of Great Alexander. Visiting of the archaeological site and the museum. Trip to Igoumenissa to taste wine in the cellar “BOUTARI”. Hotel in Olympus Riviera.
8th day:
Excursion to Vergina to the Macedonian Tombs. Travel to Veria to the bema (the pulpit) of Apostle Paul. In the afternoon wine-tasting in the cellar “Stenimachos BOUTARI”. Hotel in Olympus Riviera.
9th day:
Trip to the sacred town of the gods, to Dion. Visit the archaeological park. Travel to Olympus, Litochoro the river Enipeas along a gorge in Olympus. Then we continue our trip to Rapsani and Krania for sampling in the cellar of the company “KATSAROS”. Hotel in Olympus Riviera.
10th day:
